[Also in Groups XXVIII and XXXIX] Magnetostrictive device applied to a table used for grinding glass to remove remnants of plaster of Paris used to hold glass in position. Core of device made of magnetic and insulating laminae united by transverse welds which receive screws for holding protective plates 25 (Fig. 5).
