Abstract

A preparation for application to the hair and scalp contains in the form of copper salts not more than 0.05 per cent, preferably 0.01 to 0.05 per cent, of copper expressed as the weight of copper in the total volume of the cosmetic vehicle. Specified copper salts are the cupric bis - [8 - hydroxyquinoline - di (diethylammonium sulphate)], aminoacetate, gluconate, citrate, phenolsulphonate, salicylate, sulphate, chloride, oleate or other aliphatic acid salt, and cuprol nucleinate.
