Abstract

A granulating drum has chains hanging from its walls and so arranged that they maintain a desired layer of material in the drum. They may be arranged longitudinally and fixed to the drum at their ends and at intermediate points. Alternatively four chains may be hung such at an angle of 30 degrees to the longitudinal axis. The chains may be weighted at spaced points along their length. Specification 794,030 [Group I] is referred to.
