Abstract
799,393. Rectilinear - motion bearings. STEEL SLIDES, Inc. Jan. 18, 1955 [Feb. 3, 1954], No. 1565/55. Class 12 (1). An extension slide element has the crosssectional shape shown in Fig. 1 and is adapted for nested interlocking sliding engagement with a similarly shaped element as illustrated in Fig. 3 (not shown). The inwardly-directed channels 29, 31 engage looped portions 20a, 19a of an adjacent slide element and the inner edges of portions 15 of a channel 11 engage the outer surfaces 13 of the adjacent element. In a modification, shown in Fig. 5, the channel 11 is omitted. A further modification is shown in Fig. 6.
