A desk for copying accountancy systems comprises a store reel 4 or reels 21 and a collecting reel 8 or reels 21 so disposed that a section of a sheet 3 or sheets 18 of paper extending between them is accessible on the desk surface 1 for allowing entries to be made thereon and a frame 10 or 27 for a card on which entries made are to be reproduced on one of the sheets 3 or 18, movable on guides 13, 15 in two directions at right angles over the desk. The card may fit over pins 11 on the frame 10 or 27 and the frame has a sleeve 12 to slide on bar 13, which has at each end sleeves 14 to slide on parallel bars 15. As shown in Fig. 1, the desk top I has an opening 2 in which one segment of an octagonal reel 4 may be to form a support for the part of the sheet 3 to be written on. The reel 4 can be turned on its shaft 5 by a handle and may have means to hold it in desired position. The sheet 3 is rolled on to reel 8 by a further handle. In an embodiment not shown, the sheet is wound from a reel below the top 1 to pass through a narrow slot near the bottom of the desk. As shown in Figs. 4 and 6 reels 21 for each sheet 18 are disposed on shafts 19, 20 under the desk top 1, the sheets passing through slots 25, 26 therein. Each reel 21 is fixed to a casing 22 which houses a spring- pressed pawl 23 engaging teeth 24 on the shaft 19 or 20, the casings 22 being externally milled so that each reel is separately operable. The frame 27 has an opening 28 wide enough to register with any one of the sheets 18, and as shown has a solid portion to underlie a card on which only part of the entries is intended to be reproduced.
