Abstract

797,685. Screw-elevators. TOURELL, A. G., and WIBROE, A. P. June 20, 1956 [July 11, 1955], No. 20069/55. Class 78 (1). Cases 7 are lowered from an endless conveyer 11 on to a similar conveyer 15 by a helical conveyer 2. The cases are prevented from rotating with the helix by vertical guides 6. A stop-roller 12 arrests a case at the foot of the conveyer 11 until a cam-actuated lifting roller 13 comes into operation to lift it over the stop roller on to a live knurled roller 17 which transfers it to the conveyer 2. A safety-clutch 16 is provided in the driving mechanism.
