Class 98(1) and 98(2) An elongated container 24 contains photographic fluid 26 incorporating silver or ferric salts, diazonium compounds or chromated hardenable colloids as described in Specification 732,420, or incorporating processing materials especially for the one step silver halide transfer reversal process, the container being constituted' so that withdrawal thereof by closed end 28 through pressure surfaces 32, 34 will cause discharge of the fluid 26 through an initially closed mouth and leave the fluid in the form of an elongated mass 44, shown as placed between sheets 20, 22 which, may carry silver halide and silver receptive strata respectively. Such sheets may then be withdrawn through the further pressure surfaces 40, 42 to spread the fluid in between them and produce a positive print in sheet 22 if the sensitive strata of sheet 20 has been imagewise exposed. Fig. 4 shows a container 48 with two parallel compartments 50, 52 for photographic fluids to be mixed and spread only after discharge through the corresponding mouths 54, 56. Of 14 other figures, not shown, Fig. 5 illustrates a pair of sheets with opaque outer layers, the container being between the sheets; and Figs. 10, 11 a camera so designed that the unit of Fig. 5 may be inserted and the sheets thereby separated to place a silver halide stratum on one of them in exposure position and the other sheet in a compartment therefor, the camera having facilities for withdrawing the container after exposure and then withdrawing and re-closing the sheets, with operation of pressure surfaces to spread the fluid and effect processing, after which the sheets may be separated to reveal the positive print. Fig. 12 illustrates a unit corresponding to that shown diagrammatically in Fig. 2, the unit having disposabl pressure means for use with a simplified camera. Figs. 13, 14 are concerned with camera magazines, the former having a single, disposable unit and the latter incorporating six of the elongated containers and corresponding, spaced apart, succession of photosensitive and receiving areas on separate flexible strips each accommodated in zig-zag fashion, with arrangements for such areas to meet and be processed on withdrawal of the strips from the magazine.
