Abstract
793,539. Moulding pasties &c. HARVEY, A. March 21, 1956 [March 23, 1955], No. 8524/55. Class 87(2). A turnover is formed by placing a sheet of pastry on a plate 1 having a wall 6 with an upper knife edge, rotating a table carrying the plate to a station where a filling material is placed on the pastry, then as the table moves to the next station, a trip device moves a hinged plate 4 down to fold the pastry over the filling, pressing the plate down by means of a ram at the next station to seal the edges of the pastry and to cut off the surplus pastry between the knife edge and a member 7, and finally removing the turnover at a last station. The plate 4 is returned to the position shown dotted after pressing by a spring-pressed ball 9. Filling sheets may be placed on the plate to adjust the thickness of the turnover.
