Abstract
790,656. Dry rectifier assemblies. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.-GES. Aug. 2, 1955 [July 31, 1954], No. 22226/55. Class 37. A dry rectifier assembly comprising an insulating holder having a plurality of chambers each containing one or more rectifier tablets in parallel planes, and a resilient contact bridge for connecting adjacent tablets with an intermediate projection of rectangular cross-section which engages the holder to secure the contact member in position. Fig. 1 shows an exploded view in which holder 1 contains two stacks of rectifier elements 4, 5 positioned on top of conducting tags 2, 3. A resilient contact bridge 8 having a projection 8a of rectangular cross-section, which slides in slot 9 in holder 1, engages the tops of stacks 4 and 5. Insulating sheets 6 and 10 lie between plate 10 and cover 7, and the ends of cover 7 are bent to complete the assembly as shown in Fig. 2. More than one projection 8a may be provided to allow adjustment of the position of contact element 8, and only one rectifier element need be included. The holder consists of, or is coated with, insulating material.
