A scraper for ceilings, walls, floors, &c., consists of a blade 10 of steel or other flexible material having a straight scraping edge 11 and a series of cuts 12 ex. tending inwards from the straight edge. The blade is clamped by rivets 14 be. tween a pair of plates 13 which are tapered to a spike formation 15 which is mounted in a ferrule 16 attached to the handle.
