788,616. Electric cookers. REVO ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. July 3, 1956 [July 13, 1955], No. 20256/55. Class 39(3) In an electric cooker having a control panel mounted above the hob, a thermally actuated switch b is mounted in or on the panel and is connected in circuit with one or more hot-plates c in the hob adjacent the panel, which is thus protected against being over-heated by the hot-plate. The panel is hollow, is mounted on the back of the hob and carries also switches and tuning mechanism for the cooker. The switch operates at a predetermined temperature and preferably remains "off" until actuation of a push button d on the panel, such actuation however not operating the switch unless the temperature of the panel has fallen. A warming lamp e on the panel is connected across the thermal switch b and lights when the switch is "off". A second lamp g on the panel lights when any of the switches .controlling the hotplates is closed.
