Class 34(1) A former for holding the sleeves of garments expanded whilst they are steamed or dried comprises members 30, 31, Figs. 1, 4, connected by arms 32, 33, 34, the arms 33, 34 being pivoted on the opposite sides of a boss 36 on the arm 32. The opposite ends of the arms 32 are pivoted to the member 30 and a spring- loaded piston 38 sliding in a guide 40, while the outer ends of the arms 33, 34 are pivoted respectively to a spring-loaded piston 37 and the member 31.
