Abstract

Pulp is treated in a Pullman type baffle-plate mill to aerate it and to mix the flotation reagents intimately into the pulp. The reagents or pulp may be heated before the treatment. High boiling point hydrocarbons e.g. fuel oil and tar can be used as the reagent. The material may be reworked by the same process.
