786,427. Valves. BOOTH & CO., Ltd., S. Jan. 23, 1956 [Oct. 23, 1954], No. 30571/54. Class 135. A hot and cold water supply fitting comprises a main body 3, Fig. 1, having a central mixing chamber 3a and cylindrical ends 3b including supply control valves A and B. The mixing chamber 3a has two axially aligned outlets 3c, 3d which open respectively into a spout 4 and a socket 3e. A tubular member 5 having a stuffing-box gland 7, screws into the socket 3 which has an outlet port 3f, Fig. 2, opening into a nipple to which a rigid or flexible pipe connection may be fitted. The valve spindle 6 screws into the member 5 and is operated by a lever 11. Attached to the spindle 6 are two disc valve members 9, 10. In one position of the spindle 6, Fig. 1, the disc 9 closes the outlet 3c so that water passes from the mixing chamber 3a to the shower or spray device fitted to the nipple 8. If the spindle 6 is rotated through half a revolution the discs 9, 10 are raised to open the outlet 3c and close the outlet 3d respectively.
