Abstract

785,757. Endless-belt elevators. LEGG, Ltd., O., and GILLINGS, W. H. Sept. 30, 1955 [July 1, 1954], No. 19313/54. Class 78 (1). Material adhering to the lower roller 2 of an elevator 3, is removed by a tube 7 having a part 8 cut away and containing a screw 11 which conveys the material to an opening 21 in the tube at the side of the roller. Discs 12 fixed to the tube are attached to fixed supporting plates 13 by screws 14 passed through arcuate slots in the discs in order that the scraper edge 9 of the slot 8 may be adjusted with respect to the roller.
