Abstract

785,492. Valves. SOC. LE BOZEC ET GAUTIER. July 28, 1955 [Sept. 28, 1954], No. 21851/55. Class 135. A rotary distributing and reversing valve comprises a plate 1 with four apertures at the corners of a square, two of which 22, 23 are shown, and two rigidly connected domes 6, 7 pivoted inside a case 2 against the plate and able to connect the apertures two by two and provided with an internally threaded hollow shaft 10 for turning the domes and a threaded rod 19 screwing through the shaft for forcing the domes against the plate. In use the spindle 19, 20 is first turned to release the pressure of the domes on the plate so that they may be turned by the handle 13 to connect the required pairs of apertures, after which the spindle is again screwed down to seal the domes on the plate. A drain plug 47 is provided for releasing liquid pressure within the case 2.
