Abstract

784,605. Restaurant with television &c. FRIKART, M., and KELLER, H. March 15, 1956 [March 18, 1955], No. 8124/56. Class 20(1) A restaurant having a ground floor picture projection cabin 4 and a higher screen on the wall 5 is provided with at least three raised balconies 10, 10 and 11 at least one metre above each other provided with stools or seats 15 or 18 and tables 16 (or 17, Fig. 3, not shown) so that the middle line of vision is at an angle of at least 30 degrees to the screen. The ground floor entrance hall leads to two entrances 13 and stairs 2 to the platform 3 from which flights of stairs 20 along the wall lead to the balconies. The ground floor may also contain tables 6 with adjacent stools, kitchens 7 with food lifts 8 to the tables, and w.c.s. 9. The tables of the balconies may have adjacent stools or chairs (18, Fig. 3, not shown). The tables have underslug coat hangers and screened light fittings underneath to illuminate the lower balconies. The plan of the restaurant may be an octagon of different sized sides or may be an ellipse or a circle. The corners left over after the octagon is planned may be used as cloakrooms &c.
