Class 112 [Also in Group XVII] A stand adapted to support a thread-spooL or thread-cop and provided with a threadguide, for use with a sewing machine, is formed of members releasably interconnected by means of taped pin-and-socket. connections. As shown, the stand comprises a socketed base 10, a rod 14 having a tapered lower end engaged in the socket, cross arms 16 secured by means of collars 17 and grub screws 19 upon rod 14. spool- or cop-carrying pins 20 having tapered lower ends engaged in sockets provided in the arms 16, a rod 15 having a tapered lower end engaged in a socket formed in the top of rod 14, a hub 21 having a socket engaged by the tapered upper end of rod 15, and wire thread-guides 22 having tapered inner ends engaged in sockets formed in hub 21. The angle of taper in the connections is approximately 1¢ degrees.
