Abstract

A fish bait in the form of a powder which can be made into a stiff paste for attachment to fish hooks comprises gluten and comminuted fish, crab, lobster, prawn or like marine animal. The gluten is preferably of protein content at least 50 per cent, and it preferably forms at least 30 per cent of the powder. A suitable powder contains 90 per cent of gluten and 10 per cent of fish meal.
