784,034. Counting-apparatus. LANDIS & GYR AKT.-GES. Dec. 29, 1955 [Dec. 30, 1954], No. 37296/55. Class 106 (1). A meter counting mechanism comprises a series of drums 1, Fig. 1, disposed on vertical arbors 3 between plates 2 and interconnected by transfer mechanism 6. Mounted on the lowest order arbor 3 is a large thin drum 7 having a fractions scale graduated on its circumference. The drums are viewed through windows in the front plate 4, Fig. 2, which is curved at 9 to accommodate the drum 7. In another embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown), the large drum 7 is mounted on a separate vertical arbor rotated at the same speed as the first order arbor and arranged so that the front plate 4 is flat.
