[Also in Group XI] A grill has a sinuous electric heater 6 of the tubular sheathed type pivoted for rotation about horizontal trunnions 5 at its outwardly extending ends on or within a vertical support panel, e.g. the rear splash plate 1 of a cooker, and a dished reflector 8 has a peripheral wall 9 with slots 10 for pivoting the reflector on the trunnions 5, so that the grill and reflector may be turned down to a vertical position against the panel 1. The heater 6 is of flat rectangular shape, and current may be supplied thereto by spring clips on the trunnions 5, supported in forwardly extending hollow columns 3 on each side of the splash plate 1, which is recessed centrally at 2 to receive the grill and reflector. A spindle 11 extends across the reflector 8 at each side and each spindle supports a cheek plate 12, removably pivoted thereon, so that the cheek plates may be folded up within the reflector parallel with the heater or may be turned down to a vertical position. The cheek plates 12 are grooved to support a grill pan below the heater 6 and when turned down serve as brackets supporting the grill in a horizontal position. The grill is releasably locked in the horizontal or vertical position, and current is automatically cut off when the grill is turned down. The heater 6 may be supported in a rectangular frame, the longitudinal side members of which are apertured to receive the ends of loops of the heater. The cheek plates 12 are supported from the ends of the rectangular frame and may be apertured for rotatably supporting a spit extending between them.
