780,754. Jet propulsion plant. COOKE, W. D. Nov. 3, 1955 [Nov. 4, 1954], No. 31888/54. Addition to 770,875, [Group XXXIII]. Class 110 (3). [Also in Group XXXIII] A jet propulsion motor comprises a container 18 divided by a sliding piston 23 into a chamber 25 containing compressed nitrogen and a chamber 26 containing hydrogen peroxide. A neck 19 contains a passage blocked by a diaphragm 20 and a cutter 27 retained in the position shown against the bins of springs 31 by the poles 32 of a yoke retained in position by a trigger device. A capsule (Fig. 4, not shown) is arranged to release the yoke on attainment of a minimum ambient pressure, allowing the cutter to pierce the diaphragm. Hydrogen peroxide then flows into a nozzle 22 where it is decomposed by a catalyst. Specification 770,873, [Group XXXIII], also is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
