Class 40(5) In a multi-channel phase modulation transmission system having channel filters at the transmitter and receiver for respectively combining and separating phase modulated-carriers corresponding to each channel and a discriminator of ratio detector type for each channel at the receiver, an integrating circuit follows, each discriminator both to equalize the frequency dependent response of the discriminator and to compensate for the non- linearity of the channel filters. The integrating circuit may be a series resistor and capacitor shunting the primary winding of on output transformer of the discriminator Due to the resistor higher audio frequencies are proportionally less shunted than lower frequencies and more constant output is maintained at higher frequencies.
