Abstract

778,626. Doors. HILLS (WEST BROMWICH), Ltd. April 22, 1955 [April 30, 1954], No. 12539/-54. Class 20(3) A door 1 which may be swung about an axis parallel to but spaced from the side of an opening, has a sheath 5 secured thereto to prevent fingers being trapped and injured, the sheath 5 having an arcuate surface which is concentric to the door axis and passes between the side of the door opening and the edge 6 of the door, the spaces between the sides of the door and the respective adjacent longitudinal edges of the sheath 5 being bridged by straight walls secured to the door. As shown the wall 3 has secured thereto a jamb 4 which is curved to correspond with the sheath 5. The sheath 5 has its straight walls 7 extending at right angles to the door 1 and secured thereto by angle bars 8.
