Abstract
776,696. Signs. MARINOF, V. April 28, 1955 [April 30, 1954], No. 12301/55. Class 3 (2). A vehicle identification plate, Fig. 1, comprises a metal box 2, a number plate 5 and a window 6 which is made of methyl methacrylate, chromium plated at 9 and secured to the members 5, 2 by heat deformable ferrules 11 and a screw 14 respectively. If desired, the number plate 5 may be bolted or screwed to the window 6, see Figs. 2 and 3 respectively (not shown). Again, the member 5 could be fixed to the box 2 instead of the window 6. In a further modification, Fig. 4, the number plate 5 is clamped between the window 6 and rubber stops 18 carried by the box 2.
