A sanitary block comprises a volatile deodorant material i.e paradichlorbenzene and/or naphthalene, a disinfectant, i.e. cresantol and/or di-chlor-metaxylenol, and a detergent e.g. sodium alkyl sulphate intimately mixed with or without a filler and pressed into block form.
