Abstract

A composition serving as a protective coating on an electric heating resistor (see Group XI), comprises 860 parts of silicone varnish of the thermosetting type, 690 parts of titanium dioxide, 29 parts of silica and preferably 21 parts of lamp black. The coating is hardened by air drying for 15 hours or by heating to 250 DEG C. for five minutes.
