Abstract

773,668. Draft gear. MINER, Inc., W. H. Dec. 28, 1955 [Jan. 17, 1955], No. 37089/55. Class 103(5). The rubber units G of a combined draft and buffing gear are maintained in alignment by means of cup-like casings A, B and an alignment means I in the form of a plate 45 to the periphery of which is welded a double flange 46 engaging telescopically the casings A and B. The rubber units G, separators H and aligning means I are generally of octagonal shape as shown in Fig. 3 and the ears 17 which are formed on the casing sections A and B form a convenient means of retaining the column compressed by bolts 49 in transit.
