Abstract

773,289. Rotary meters. HERMAN, J. F. Sept. 5, 1955 [Sept. 18, 1954], No. 25389/55. Class 110 (2). A rotor 4 is driven by the liquid flowing through a duct 5, the cross-sectional area of which is varied in accordance with variations in density or temperature of the liquid. The Figure shows a duct 5 which may be moved axially by means of a wire 7, coiled around pull-up 10, the length of which varies under the effect of different temperatures of the liquid, or the wire may be adjusted manually by means of a knob 8. A return spring 6, for the duct, is provided. Other means may be used to move the duct axially.
