An index pad for recording telephone numbers and/or other information comprises a front cover 1, back cover 2 and a number of pagers 3, each page 3 and the front cover 1 having a registering aperture 4 and each page 3 provided with a lettered tag 5 protruding into the aperture 4, the tags 5 being evenly spaced and staggered round the periphery of the aperture in the semblance of a telephone dial so that the required page may be found by pressing on the appropriate tag. The first page is lettered " A B C " the second " D E F " and so on, with two or three letters.
