Abstract
772,025. Mattresses &c. HICKS, Ltd., B. Aug. 19, 1955 [Aug. 19, 1954], No. 24195/54. Class 52 (4). A spring mattress &c. cover is made at least in part of a transparent tear-resistant sheet material, e.g. sheet polyvinyl chloride, which extends to the normal sewn sheets of the cover. As shown, the top 17, the front wall 19 and the rear wall are formed of the sheet material, the mattress being constructed as described in Specification 577,083. The padding may have an aperture in it to view the springing. In a modification, the entire cover of a spring assembly having no padding is made of transparent sheet material.
