Abstract
769,586. Ingot-moulds. DOITTAU PRODUCTS METALLURGIE. Sept. 24, 1954, No. 27625/54. Class 83 (1). A method of casting ingots consists in laying along at least part of the wall of the ingot-mould 1 a lining 7 of agglomerated exothermic products, while leaving an at least partly gaspermeable heat-insulating layer 10 between at least part of the exothermic lining and the inner wall of the ingot-mould. The lining is made in four parts and is secured by heat-resisting adhesives to ribs 5 on the top 1. Alternatively, the ribs may be formed on the linings.
