Abstract

769,327. Cycle saddles. BROOKS & CO., Ltd., J. B. April 22, 1955 [May 24, 1954], No. 15156/54. Class 136(3). A two-layer cycle saddle top consists of an upper layer 1 of leather having depending side flaps 9 and a single under layer 6 of nylon, the top being connected at its forward end 2 to a metal nose-piece 3 and at its rear end 4 to a cantle-plate 5. The nylon under layer 7 is premoulded to conform to the shape of the underside of the leather upper layer 1 and is unconnected to the upper layer excepting at its front and rear ends. Ventilation holes 13 are formed in the upper layer and corresponding holes 13<SP>1</SP> are formed in the nylon under layer.
