In a float for a fishing net consisting of a hollow member of thermosetting or thermo-plastic material formed by joining together two cup-like parts 9, 10 each part has a central integral pipe 11, 12 which are joined together at their inner ends, the joints of the cup-like parts 9, 10 and the pipes 11, 12 being sealed by a sealing agent. The float is preferably transparent.
