Abstract

An emitter electrode of indium is formed on the base of a pit etched electrolytically in one conductivity region of a germanium transistor (see Group XXXVI) by placing a little indium in the pit and heating the whole to 500 DEG C. in hydrogen to fuse the indium to the germanium. Specification 768,022 is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
