758,795. Shafts and tunnels. CAERPHILLY CONCRETE PRODUCTS, Ltd., and LEWIS, R. W. C. Nov. 30, 1955 [Sept. 9. 1954], No. 26082/54. Class 85 A shaft lining comprises coaxial metal ring members 1 of I cross-section spaced apart by longitudinal members 2 of I cross-section, the space between each adjacent pair of ring members 1 being filled with inter-locking concrete or like blocks 4, the ends of which engage channels in the members 1. Arches 9 are formed of channel-section members 9a. 9b and are adapted to receive cross-beams to, support partition walls. The last blocks to be placed in position between two adjacent members 2 are closure blocks 6 each of which is inserted in two halves which are bolted together when in place.
