[Also in Group XV] The surface of a chromium-plated metal hollow-ware article is degreased in a bath of trichlorethylene at 86 ‹ C. for five minutes. The surface is then coated with gum lacquer with a shellac bases to which, when dry, a transfer is applied, the article being then heat dried. The article is then dipped in a bath or sprayed with a coating of a cellulose lacquer and heattreated to form a hard and durable finish.
