756,396. Mixing-machines. GASKELL & CHAMBERS, Ltd. March 22, 1955 [April 6, 1954], No. 10017/54. Class 86. A drink-mixing machine comprises a stand 4 consisting of a base 3 and two upwardlyextending tubes secured to a housing 5 for an electric motor, a spindle extending downwardly from the motor and carrying an agitator 9, a lever 10 pivoted on the stand or housing and adapted at its upper end to actuate a push-piece 11 of the motor switch, a spring blade 15 in front of the lever 10, and an abutment 13 on which the mixing vessel can be supported, the arrangement being such that on inserting the lip of the vessel between the blade 15 and the lever 10 and placing the bottom of the vessel on the abutment 13, the lever 10 is moved in the direction for closing the switch. The agitator 9 may be of the kind described in Specification 753,895.
