A wall-plug has a hole 2, the wall of which is divided into two or more parts 2a by incisions 3, whereby each wall part forms the inner surface of a substantially sectorshaped, longitudinally extending strip 1. As shown, three strips are formed and are interconnected by by thinner parts 4, each having a central depression 5 to ensure inward collapse of parts 4 if the plug is contracted for insertion in a wall-bore smaller than the non-contracted plug. The outer surfaces of the strips 1 may be grooved.
