Abstract

755,351. Showcards. HARRIS & CO., Ltd., L. G. April 22, 1955 [April 23, 1954], No. 11758/54. Class 3(2) A display stand or showcard for displaying paint brushes in the upright position comprises supporting means for the ends of the brush handles and magnets arranged to engage the binding bands of said brushes. The device is formed from a metal sheet 1 having a cardboard backing 2, the sheet 1 being bent over at the base and reinforced by a wooden strip 6 as shown in order to provide an apertured supporting ledge 4 and a display panel 5. Magnets 8 are bolted to a strip 14 of non- magnetic material or aluminium which in turn is secured to the backing 2. A strip of tinplate 16, 17 (see Figs. 1 and 3, not shown), is secured to the front of the sheet 1 and has holes corresponding in position to the holes in the members 1, 2 through which the magnets project. The device may be suspended from a hook or provided with hinged support means 18.
