Abstract

755,135. Suction cleaners. HOOVER, Ltd. April 15, 1954 [April 21, 1953], No. 11115/54. Class 8(1). A suction cleaner 1 is provided with retractable supporting means in the form of legs 15, 16, arranged to pivot between an extended position as shown and a retracted position in which they allow the cleaner to rest in a lowered position with both ends close to the floor. The legs have wheels 17 and in the retracted position the cleaner is again supported on the wheels. Each leg is individually pivoted to the cleaner which has ramp means and catch means to cause the legs to splay out both sideways and endways in the extended position and to hold them in both positions.
