A flexible, e.g. polyethylene grid for an ice tray comprises two longitudinal walls 3, 4 and transverse walls 2, the removal of the blocks from the central spaces being facilitated by forming a slit 6 in one of the walls bounding each such space. As shown the slits are formed all in one longitudinal wall ; in a modification, the slits in the spaces are formed alternately in the walls 3, 4.
