Abstract

753,016. Anti - skid tyre attachments. CLAVETTE, R. Jan. 11, 1954 [Jan. 14, 1953], No. 783/54. Class 144 (2). In an anti-skid attachment comprising a series of metal rollers 8 loosely strung end-to-end on a flexible multi-strand cable 2, the cable is protected by a flat strip open helical sheathing 1 which provides a bearing surface for the rollers. As shown, the end rollers 81 abut hooked stop ends 3 which are crimped on to the cable 2 and sheathing 1 and serve to secure the attachment to chains which extend one along each tyre wall.
