Abstract
748,793. Automatic exchange systems. ERICSSON TELEFOON-MAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. Oct. 19, 1953 [Oct. 20, 1952], No. 28831/53. Class 40 (4). [Also in Group XIX] A circuit arrangement for registering data represented by a marked one of a system of conductors, comprises groups of relays, each group being allotted to a single datum and (except for the last energized group) having change-over contacts associated with one or more conductors, whereby when a marking voltage is applied to a conductor, the corresponding relay in a first group is energized and reverses contacts to establish an energizing through-connection to the appropriate relay in the. next group and so on. The arrangement shown comprises three decimal denominational groups of relays for registering a number represented by marking one of a thousand conductors 000 . . . 999. If, e.g. a positive marking voltage is applied to the conductor 129, a relay 100 will be energized and reverse its contacts to connect the conductor over line 29 to relay 20 which in turn reverses its contacts to connect the conductor to relay 9. The energized relays are held through further contacts until the data is read off, after which they are reset by interrupting the positive voltage. Other types of data may be registered and the groups of relays may be arranged in a different order.
