748,210. Depth-charge launcher. AKTIEBOLAGET BOFORS. March 14, 1952 [Nov. 5, 1951] No 6646/52. Class 9(2) A device for launching depth-charges 26 comprises a plurality of launching tubes 9, 10. 11, 12. carried by a common supporting member 7 in such manner that they can be trained and elevated, the axes of the tubes being on the surface of an imaginary cylinder whose axis is parallel to the axes of the tubes. By such an arrangement the tubes can be swung about the horizontaltrunnions 8 to the vertical position shown, and can then be brought one by one to a position above an opening 13 to receive a depth-charge from a hoist disposed beneath the deck plate 1. The features of the hoist are the same as those disclosed in Specification 748.209, and details of the elevating and training gear are illustrated in Fig. 4 (not shown).
