Class 56 The tapered pore hole in one of the sheets 12 of a glazing unit is sealed by (a) filling the opening with air-and-waterproof mastic 20 (e.g. a mixture of polyisobutylene and carbon, (b) putting a metal cap 22, e.g. of lead, over the mastic, and (c) putting a synthetic resin cover 24 over the metal cap, the resin extending over the edge of the cap on to the glass.
