In a document copying camera the threading of the film is facilitated when a member pivoted at 59 and preferably provided with rollers 54 and 62 adopts a position, shown in Fig. 3, so that it guides film F into a chamber 22 housing the take-up reel, and can take up a position, shown in Fig. 2, in which the film F is pressed against a member which supports it in the exposure aperture 15, when the film is tensioned. Preferably the tension in the film is applied through roller 62 and pivot 59 so that roller 54 presses the film into engagement with drum 36. In the form shown roller 62 is supported in a bracket 58 having arms 61 and roller 54 in a bracket 56. A spring 63 is provided to restore bracket 58 to the film threading position when the tension in the film is lost. The movement of the bracket 58 into the film threading position actuates an electrical indicating device through a switch 65. In threading the film, roller 48 is held in contact with drum 36 against the action of spring 64 and the film is fed into the bite between the roller 48 and the drum 36. Roller 54 can turn about pivot 57 so that it is always in line contact with drum 36. Drum 36 and the take-up and pay-out reels are all driven to replace exposed film at the exposure aperture, a slip drive being provided for the reels. Specification 733,997 is referred to.
