Abstract
A cathode-ray tube fluorescent screen is coated with a layer of magnesia. A cloud of magnesia, prepared by burning magnesium in the same or a separate vessel, is allowed to deposit under gravity for 10-15 minutes. An electrostatic charge between the cloud and the screen may be used to accelerate the deposition. The layer may be less than 1000 in thickness as in Specification 744,776.
