Abstract
744,530. Blasting minerals. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Oct. 2, 1953. [Nov. 28, 1952], No. 30195/52. Class 68(1) In one side of a D.C. power supply to a blasting charge-firing circuit of the type described in Specification 728,598, which is referred to, is inserted a rotary switch 13, 14, 15, 15<SP>1</SP> 16. The switch is so designed that the period of the electric impulses it feeds to the circuit is the same as the delay period desired between successive detonations and the duration of each impulse is less than the delay period of a delay switch 9<SP>1</SP> but longer than the period of time required to fire a detonator 6<SP>1</SP> and its associated delay switch 9<SP>1</SP>. Specification 744,531 also is referred to.
