A bird, after being plucked, is further cleaned of stubs and finished by dipping in wax which is removed by flexible fingers 2 on a rotating drum 1, the wax being collected in a bin 7 on wheels 8. The machine comprises a casing 3 with a hood in which the waxed bird is placed. A further extension 5 houses an electric motor. Speci. fication 674,768 is referred to.
